"Family Day Care Queensland will host a National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day webinar for its staff and board members, presented by Janice Rocca. The webinar will explore the significance of the day and its importance for educators, children and families who participate in family day care and in-home care. Janice is an Aboriginal woman with Wakka Wakka and Kaanju ancestry connections from Central Queensland and Cape York and is the director of Raindrops of Diversity."

Inspired by this year's theme, Living Our Truth, the afternoon will feature a cultural immersion experience led by Warama Culture, a free kup-murri, and the opportunity to explore a community-created resource designed to strengthen First Nations families through storytelling, reflection, culture and connection. We welcome organisations working with and for First Nations families to join us in celebrating this special milestone."

Ballaarat mobs living on Wadawurrung lands (and Djaara to the North) are diverse and come from many different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Nations - our local symbol is the perridak/platypus."
