Collection of Personal Information
SNAICC – National Voice for our Children may use images of individuals, including children, in our publications and resources, including the SNAICC – National Voice for our Children website. We will obtain permission from the subject or, in the case of a child, a person with legal responsibility for their welfare, before using their image for illustrations.
Access to Personal Information
Confidentiality and Security
SNAICC – National Voice for our Children takes all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality and security of personal information in our possession.
We seek approval from individuals before disclosing their personal information to a third party, except where specifically exempted by legislation or when individuals have been previously made aware that the information will be disclosed to a third party.
If you believe that your information is not being properly handled by SNAICC – National Voice for our Children, we have a process for dealing with privacy complaints. We aim to address complaints quickly and effectively and offer recourse to an independent adjudicator if you are not satisfied with our internal complaint handling procedures.
While SNAICC – National Voice for our Children’s distribution agent has made a contractual assurance to respect the privacy and confidentiality of all information collected for our purposes and not provide this information to anyone else, SNAICC – National Voice for our Children cannot make guarantees on behalf of our agent and is not liable for any failure by our agent to fulfil its responsibilities on this matter.
