These visits strengthened relationships, shared knowledge and demonstrated the importance of Connected Beginnings’ community-led approach to supporting Aboriginal children’s early development.

The Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre advocates for the political and community development aspirations of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community. Operating statewide, TAC delivers a range of services and programs, including a holistic, state-of-the-art health service, land and sea management initiatives, a cultural awareness unit, and the palawa kani language program. Kutalayna Collective is one of three Connected Beginnings lutruwita sites dedicated to giving Aboriginal children every opportunity to thrive in their early years.

The Pataway Collective is one of three Connected Beginnings sites in lutruwita; building a strong, supportive community that embraces Aboriginal children, providing them with the resources, opportunities and guidance to pursue their hopes and dreams. The organisation’s community-driven approach fosters a deep sense of belonging, resilience and cultural pride, empowering children to grow into the future Elders of their communities.
