SNAICC – National Voice for our Children is the national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled peak body leading systemic and structural reform to protect and advance the rights, safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, families and communities across Australia.
Whether you are an individual, organisation, community partner or government agency, there are many ways to work alongside us. By getting involved, you help strengthen national advocacy, support community-controlled solutions and contribute to the systemic and structural change needed to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Why your involvement matters
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families thrive when communities lead the decisions that shape their lives and systems are accountable to their rights, culture and wellbeing.
Your involvement helps to:
- strengthen the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled sector,
- elevate the voices, leadership and expertise of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities,
- influence national policy, practice and systems reform,
- support culturally responsive programs, research and evidence-informed solutions, and
- drive long-term change grounded in the self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
By working together, we can achieve sustained systemic and structural change, strengthen families and support strong futures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
