Why your involvement matters

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families thrive when communities lead the decisions that shape their lives and systems are accountable to their rights, culture and wellbeing.

Your involvement helps to:

  • strengthen the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled sector,
  • elevate the voices, leadership and expertise of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities,
  • influence national policy, practice and systems reform,
  • support culturally responsive programs, research and evidence-informed solutions, and
  • drive long-term change grounded in the self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

By working together, we can achieve sustained systemic and structural change, strengthen families and support strong futures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
