Description
In this video, Kutalayna Collective share how the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) is helping the local community better understand the strengths, needs and opportunities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Lutruwita/Tasmania.
Featuring Palawa women Chloe Woolnough, Dannielle Harris, Nicole Jacobs and Chantelle Jones, and Jodi Upton (Program Manager, Early Years Initiatives, Department for Education, Children and Young People), the video brings AEDC data to life through the voices of children, families, educators and local service providers.
The Kutalayna Collective is part of Connected Beginnings Lutruwita/Tasmania, led locally by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre. Through this initiative, the community is strengthening early childhood pathways, improving access to early years, maternal and child health services, and supporting children to be safe, healthy and school-ready by age five.
