Training Project Officer position available at SNAICC

Training Project Officer – Position Description

SNAICC – National Voice for our Children is the national non-government peak body in Australia for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. SNAICC provides a strong voice that promotes the rights, needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, ensuring their safety, development and wellbeing.

The Training Project Officer holds a vital role in the SNAICC Training Team and the whole of organisation. The Training Project Officer provides organisational and administrative coordination of SNAICC’s national training workshops and projects in the early years and child and family welfare sectors.

This is a great opportunity for people with:

  • significant administration and project management skills;
  • the ability to liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities, and government agencies across Australia; and
  • the ability to work cross culturally within a small team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and non-Indigenous staff.

Full-time position, located at SNAICC’s office in North Fitzroy, Melbourne. Salary range $57,000 to $63,000, plus superannuation and salary packaging. Excellent professional development and training opportunities.

Training Project Officer – Position Description

This is an Indigenous Identified role only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and s12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
