I hope everyone had a safe trip home and has settled nicely after the amazing week we had on Larrakia Country attending SNAICC’23.
Well what can I say that already hasn’t already been said -what an absolutely incredible conference! We brought together 1600 delegates, reached 9 million people across Australia through television screens, radio airwaves and social media feeds. We laughed, cried, listened, became inspired and made new connections and friends, and you know what? The voices within our sector were loud and clear: when it comes to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, our mob know best.
But of course the success wouldn’t have been if it weren’t for you all, the delegates. So I want to send a huge thank you to each and everyone of you. I left the Top End with my heart feeling so full. Listening to you all share your stories made me so much more hopeful for the future. It sure is looking bright for our children and their families.
