SNAICC has launched the 2015 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day community service announcement, helping to promote the importance of Children’s Day in the lead up to 4 August.
The community service announcement will be broadcast on national television over the coming weeks, raising the awareness of the importance of celebrating our children’s strengths and making sure our kids grow up in culture.
“Children’s Day is about celebrating and supporting the services that empower our little kids to have big futures.”
– Courtenay Dempsey
The community service announcement also features a great message from our 2015 Children’s Day ambassador Courtenay Dempsey, AFL footballer with the Essendon Football Club.
With Children’s Day less than a month away, communities and early childhood services across the country are getting ready to host local events to celebrate our little ones. To find an event in your area visit the Event Showcase on the Children’s Day website. If you want to better promote your own event, register on the Children’s Day website to have your event added to the showcase.
