Amnesty’s Human Rights Innovation Fund is now seeking applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations for grants of up to $8000 for programs that support ending Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth detention, or support individuals, families or communities experiencing youth detention.
Your proposal could involve remote or urban communities, it could complement or be an element of an early intervention, prevention or diversionary program, or it could be an event or activity that supports the campaign.
Amnesty is encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders to develop creative, interesting, positive initiatives that will help keep kids out of detention and in the community where they belong.
Visit the Amnesty website for further details on this campaign.
This round of applications closes on Monday 31 August 2015.
