AbSec conference to benefit services provided in Aboriginal communities

October 20, 2015

20 October 2015 | General Interest

The Aboriginal Child, Family and Community Care State Secretariat (AbSec) conference will provide participants with the opportunity to strengthen their skills and knowledge in supporting Aboriginal children and young people in the out-of-home care and child protection sectors.

The 2015 AbSec conference, Vibrant Sector, Capable Workers, Stronger Kids – Supporting Aboriginal children and young people to have the best possible future, will be held in Coffs Harbour NSW over three days, running from 24-26 November.

The first two days of the conference are targeted to AbSec Aboriginal member agency workers who work directly with Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities to share good cultural practice and ideas for improvement.

The third day will target those in the sector more broadly that are our Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal partners committed to quality cultural supports for Aboriginal children, young people and families across NSW.

To learn more visit the AbSec website, or download the information brochure, which includes a registration form for Day 3 of the conference.

Registrations are required by Tuesday 17 November.
