Are you a young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person aged 18-25? Are you passionate about positive change in your communities? Are you passionate about the rights of your mob? Do you want to know more about human rights and why it’s important to you?
The Diplomacy Training Program (DTP) and Oxfam Australia will be holding an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Youth Human Rights and Advocacy Summit in Sydney from 10-14 Feburary 2014.
This five day intensive residential course will help to draw on (and build) your skills and experiences in human rights and advocacy. It provides an opportunity to build networks with other young community advocates, to share your knowledge and experiences, and grow your understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights.
If you are interested in participating in the program, you can find an application form on the DTP website.
If your application is successful, the program will cover all travel, accommodation and food costs.
Applications close Friday 6 December 2013.
