- SNAICC is a leader in Early Childhood Education and Care Services with training programs ranging from Cultural Competence, to Transition to School and Cultural Learning programs
- SNAICC also provides training in the Child and Family Support area including Trauma, Intensive Family Support, Family Violence, Child Protection and Carer training
- SNAICC has a long history of training in Cultural Competence through our Working and Walking Together program and also works extensively on building genuine partnerships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous organisations that want to work together in respectful ways.
SNAICC training is developed in consultation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, with key services, agencies and leaders, and is based on extensive research, policy and evidence of best practice. Programs are customized to meet individual needs, match accredited training requirements and connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services wherever possible.
Two trainers provide all SNAICC training, at least one of whom is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, and workshops are usually held in partnership with one of our local member organisations, peak bodies or a host agency.
SNAICC Training is supported by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, key Trusts and Foundations and participant fees.
